Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State Hosts First Pop-Up Business Filing Event
ST. CLOUD – On Wednesday, September 23, the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State hosted its first-ever pop-up business filing event. During the event, staff from the office’s Business Services division met with more than two dozen Minnesotans to provide in person assistance completing business filings, including original registrations, renewals, and amendments, as well as apostille authentications.
“Minnesota is home to thousands of entrepreneurs whose ideas and hard work strengthen our entire state,” said Secretary of State Steve Simon. “But accessing in person help shouldn’t depend on your ability to travel to St. Paul. These events are about removing barriers and making it easier for Minnesotans to start and grow their businesses.”

Pop‑up events are part of an effort to make business services more accessible for Minnesotans who prefer or need in person support but may face challenges traveling to the public counter in downtown St. Paul. Many business owners value direct, face‑to‑face guidance when completing filings, and this initiative expands that support to the Stearns County area.
