National Voter Registration Day in MN High Schools 2024

For the first time, Minnesota will hold a
live statewide virtual high school event
(twice that morning!) featuring a
step-by-step voter registration and
preregistration (ages 16/17) session!
Every high school- public and private,
rural, suburban, and urban- is invited
to join this groundbreaking celebration
of youth voices, and civic engagement.

MN High School NVRD 2024 Organizers:
• Office of MN Secretary of State  • League of Women Voters of MN
• Legal Marijuana Now Party  • MN Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party  • Republican Party of MN

The Live Program: Free to Participate; Free Resources; Free Support

  -30 minutes start to finish, held twice (starting at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.), each in two 15-minute segments 

       Segment 1: (starts at 8 and 9 a.m.)
                                  -The power of youth voice in your community, state, and country

                                  -Secretary of State: Why it's so important to (pre)register now

                                  -Hear from students and teachers from around the state

       Segment 2: (Starts at 8:15 and 9:15 a.m.)

                                  -Walk through on screen of the (pre)registration process

                                  -Eligible students register on their own phone, tablet, or computer

                                  -Students not yet eligible to (pre)register learns how to do it when they are.
