Registered Voter List Requests


Information on registered Minnesota voters, including their contact information and voting history, is available  for a fee. The data is available in a variety of formats, as detailed below on this page.

 Note: This information is only available to registered Minnesota voters, and may only be used for purposes related to elections, political activities, or law enforcement. (Minnesota Statutes 201.091)

For the August 13, 2024 State Primary, counties must enter voting history from rosters by 9/24/2024. Election day registrations must also be completed by 9/24/2024 unless they have notified this office, after which they have until 10/22/2024. See County Entry of Voting History for a list of county compliance.

Placing an order

Use the Voter Information Request Form to place an order. The completed form and payment may be mailed or dropped off to: Office of the Secretary of State, Voter Registration Lists, First National Bank Building, 332 Minnesota Street, Suite N201, Saint Paul, MN 55101.

Cost & Payment

Reports covering the whole state are $46. Reports covering any area within the state are $30.

You may pay with check, money order, or cash with exact change. Credit card payment is not accepted at this time.

Delivery

An email will be sent with a link to the requested voter data after the order is processed. This link will be active for seven days. CD-ROMs are no longer be available.

Report Formats

Reports come in pdf and text formats.

Choose pdf format if you:

  • just want to print the report as-is
  • do not want to edit, filter, or sort the report
  • do not know how to use spreadsheet or database software (such as MS Excel or MS Access)

Choose text format if you:

  • want to edit, filter, or sort the report
  • want to use the data in multiple ways (for example, mail merge and mailing labels)
  • want detailed voting history information
  • want statewide data
  • know how to use spreadsheet or database software (such as MS Excel or MS Access) This office does NOT offer support for using this data with specific software applications.

 Reports are current as of the time they are run. After general elections, counties may need extra time to enter all election day registrations and voting history.

Voter Lists with Voting History

These reports indicate which elections voters have voted in. The text versions of the Detailed History reports come in two files: one with voter information, one with voting history. See the sample files below to make sure you order the correct report for your needs.
